A good month for Bettenhausen Dodge meant a good month for the Chicagoland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bettenhausen Dodge donated $100 from each of its October new car sales to the organization. Bettenhausen Dodge handed over $7,100 to Komen Ambassador Carol Sobecke Monday at the dealership.
?We really appreciate the efforts that Bettenhausen has made in the fight against breast cancer,? she said. ?This money will stay in the Chicagoland area and it will go towards research, education, screening and treatment.?
General Manager Mike Bettenhausen signed an over-sized check for Sobecke and then handed her the real check, which will be worth more at the bank.
?We just wanted to support the program and the national campaign because it?s certainly a cause that needs attention and we feel it is important to find a cure,? Bettenhausen said.
